University of Mysore invites Applications for KSET(Karnataka State Eligibility Test) for Lecturer / Assistant Professors -2014. KSET center will be conducting this year-2014 test in 32 subjects at 11 nodal centers spread across the Karnataka State. All eligible candidates can apply online from 01 / 01 / 2014.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit = There is no upper age limit require for apply KSET examination .
Educational Qualification = Candidates must posses Masters Degree with at least 55% of marks for General Category and 50% marks for SC /ST / PWD-VH/PH , Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB Or equivalent examination from University / Institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi. Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master's degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited may also aligible for this test. PH.D. Degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed on or before 19 / 09 / 1991 can apply for this test and post graduation degree in relavant subject can also appear for KSET.
Examination Pattern and Syllabus = KSET will be consisting of three Papers which will be cinducted in objective type (MCQ).
Paper I = General paper is base on Teaching and Aptitude . Maximum Marks = 100. Total No. of Questions = 60 out of 50 Question to be attempted (MCQ).(Two marks each). Duration of time 09:30
AM. to 10:45 AM.
Paper II = Subject Based Paper. Maximum marks = 100. Total No. of Question = 50 compulsory(Two marks each) MCQ. Duration of time 10:45 AM. to 12:00 Noon.
Paper III = Subject Based Paper (in depth Questions). Maximum marks = 150. Total No. of Question = 75 (MCQ) Compulsory.Duration of time = 01:30 PM.to 04:00 PM.
Application Fee = For General category Rs. - 1000/-, For IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB Category Rs. - 800/-,
For category I / SC / ST/ VH/ PH Rs. - 500/- and Bank charges of Rs. 20/-.
Late fee of Rs. - 100/- has to paid by candidates who submit online application after the last date.
Fee must be deposited in any branch of state Bank of Mysore through Bank Challan downloaded from the KSET website.
Please Note that Fee submitted by any other mode will not be accepted and fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
